Proposal
It is proposed to prototype and deliver a proof-of-concept website for The Ship Innpublic house in St Thomas
With cost being a major factor, a minimal viable product has been produced that displays a number of content pages that are partially modifiable by the licensee using a google sheets backend

The site as is currently built uses free Google Sheets and Google Mail services in order to update data for the site and for bookings - with each user request dynamically re-buildsing the page with the most up to date information each time a person loads a page; this may suite for even live usage for low traffic but should the site become a key part of busoiness operations, a new set of technoilogy components would likely be required so that the site can act in a performant manner (so it loas quickyl)
The element that could be the "critical bottleneck" would be
- the pages re-builsding dynamically pulling source data doirectly from sheets to build the love page
- multiple concurrent users loading and navigating would normally require either "near live" updates or scaling of the components so that they can deliver quickly and update in teh background
The current version available to deploy would be a good platform top momnitor and test to see what engagement patterns appear and what facilities could encourage investment
Benefirts to the system could be
- a single space to direct users for updates to live entertainment
- a real-time availability/cost listing for restaurant
- a live self-reservation system that (currently blindly) allows users to select a date, time and other detasils and submit them ointo a google spreadsheet that can be used for resource planning
Longer term, the dynamicaly updating menu and online bookings would be cost benefcial to the business, especially for holiday periods or for sunday bookings
